Feed Your Magic

Hi Babes. Happy June. Happyyyy Pride. Happy peony season!

This weeks energy is a mix of sweet Venus and Jupiter vibes paired with a waning moon that is preparing to become new again on Sunday. We are dancing in the dark and finding our joy with one another.

Tap into the energy with words of affirmations for yourself and your beloveds. Cast flower magic spells. Sing to a body of water. Bless a Femme with gratitude. Love on a Trans person.

Thank our Queer Elders and ancestors. Give flowers to Sylvia and Marsha.

It also feels like a dash of stagnant chaos, disruptively helping us remember how to breathe into the space and imagine something new. Very Gemini. Very Queer.

We get to sweet moment(s), its just bumpy with a bit of attitude on the way at times.

The anecdote is pesto pasta, hibiscus tea, Page of cups, peonies, peach roses and pizza made with my sweet femme friend’s garden squash!

Extra note: Thinly slice squash, toss in olive oil and season with salt and pepper to roast or add on top of pizza-sprinkle fresh basil on top and you will be amazed at how delicious it is.

Maybe, take a pause during golden hour outside, with the moon waning pink this week. Take in the energy of your surroundings, tune into all that you are connected to. Maybe press your toes into the ground.

Breathe in.

On your exhale give a thank you to the earth and your surroundings. Do this three times.

Humm a little if your mind is a busy bee. Sing. Journal. Protect your peace. Slurp up the quiet moments of doing nothing if can.

I’ve been listening to Circe by Madeline Miller on audio and I have fallen in love with her and the author. A plant witch, be still my heart.

There is a quote that stopped me on my walk and I rewinded it 10 times to get it right. It felt connective to gemini season. A good explanation of the air element. A meaning to ponder with the new moon in gemini coming.

Circe’s brother was talking about the meaning and feeling of divinity and presence. Aeëtes, asks Circe what divinity feels like to her. She struggles to describe this feeling, insecure in poetically matching up to him. She describes her feelings of divinity as a shell. When he asks what is inside, she says she hears/feels nothing, only air. In response to air being equal to “nothing” he says to her:

“Those are not the same. Nothing is empty void while air is what fills all else. It is breath and life and spirit and the words we speak” pg.29 , Circe by Madeline Miller

Air is everything in and around us. It moves as the wind and the channels. Our words, our connection to spirit and our life is through these portals of air. This gemini season don’t dismiss the pause, the silence, the moments of quiet breath as inactivity or nothingness. Don’t dismiss not knowing, it is the opening to discovery, from within yourself and your surroundings.

Last week’s card was the 6 of pentacles. We may still be in this energy. This babe is here to remind us we always and will forever need each other. It can symbolize reciprocity, giving/receiving support and finding a balance in the ways we care. It activates awareness of equitability and integrity. Compassion, care and community nourishment. It reminds us you do not need to prove yourself for love. We are all deserving to feel loved and resourced. It does not mean offering support in ways that deplete you either. This card is about balance. Create, communicate and cultivate with intention.

Ways we feel/see this energy show up? The park slope Co-Op voting to divest from Israeli products. Planning a party with your friends. Growing a business that offers sliding scale. Queer mutual aid dance parties. Community gardens. Getting to know your neighbors. Believing you deserve the salary you deserve. Meal trains. Equitable financial planning. Pot lucks. Community design rooted in divestment from harm and investment in redistribution, sustainability, community resilience and beauty! Emergent strategy theory. Rhizomes. kelp. Wild flowers. Bees. Strawberries. Crows. Dandelions. Playing dress up. Journaling. Coffee. Queer Liberation. Femme friendships.

Collective Cards for The Week

Page of Cups + Nine of Swords

Sometimes we don’t need to fix things or worry to worry or have the right tool or plan. Yes things are hard and wild. But also, there is sweetness and generative energy to tap into. There is community and friendship and playfulness. It may take a change in perspective to embrace it.

You deserve this! Your inner child wants you to remember what you really love!

What we need this week is to wrap the soft blanket of  wonder of around us and let our imagination guide us. Let our inner child dance free. Remind ourselves we can change our mind when we change our attachment to the outcome or getting it right.

Go play. Frolick, daydream, blow bubbles, write the story. Dance. Dress up fabulously. Have an orgasm. Bake a pound cake. Pluck berries and kiss roses. Adorn yourself In all that is affirming to you. Color outside the lines.

This week’s message is a reminder: when things feel overwhelming, over planning or trying to control the outcome will only stress us out more! Don’t burn our babe. Check those mind spirals. Ground. Call a friend. Tap your therapist. Say fuck it to the heteropatriarchy! Have some fun. Hydrate. Feed Your Magic and prioritize your joy.

The page of cups whispers- hey babe, It’s all going to be ok, go play a little. The nine of swords says-my love all your attention to detail is beautiful and important and also your overthinking it- give your nervous system a break. Let it goooo and flow.

June can be busy, exciting, playful and especially for my fellow Queers-extra active! Remember to cleanse after big gatherings, hydrate and make this tea blend for grounding and restoring after a long night or event:

The After Party

16 oz jar or tea pot. Add dried herbs, pour over with boiling water. Cover and steep for 10 minutes. Drink warm or steep longer for more bold/bitter flavor and make as an iced tea or spritzer.

1 tbsp rose

1 tbsp nettles

1 tbsp damiana

1 tsp ginger

Wishing you all a beautiful week with extra love from Venus and Jupiter babes!

xoxo
